With this new social initiative, Dettol will be supporting and sponsoring 50
kids on their journey to become Future Football Heroes. To achieve this, Dettol
will be partnering with a Football Academy in Nigeria.
To launch the campaign, the brand brought together two
powerful Nigerian musicians; the legendary 2Baba and amazing songstress Waje,
to collaborate on the campaign song and video, with the aim to extol patriotism
and the strong Nigerian Spirit.
Dettol’s vision is to help people live healthier and
happier lives through everyday hygiene habits and protecting the family and
children from germs that cause many illnesses. Physical activity in the form of
sports helps the children to have an active and healthy lifestyle – and during
the game of football, Dettol Antiseptic Liquid plays a role by being used for
first aid to treat minor injuries, and Dettol soap for bathing, and washing
hands after playing to protect against germs.
Over the years, the Dettol brand has been at the
forefront of providing health and hygiene messages via its products and
initiatives in Nigeria. They have consistently endeavored to create mass
awareness for proper hygiene among mothers and children.
In the last 7 years, Dettol has also reached out to
over 7 million Nigerian children and mothers through their “School Hygiene
Program”, over 4 million mothers yearly through the “New Mum’s Programme”, and
various other initiatives in partnership with the Ministry of Health, Nigerian
Medical Association and Save the Children to create a Healthy Nigeria and
reduce Diarrhoea related deaths.
