Again Jibrin refuses to appear before House Ethics Committee hearing
Abdulmumin Jibrin, former Chairman House Committee on Appropriation on Monday again failed to appear before House of Representatives Ethics and Privileges Committee investigating him of misconduct.
He however tweeted on his twitter account on Monday, “Wonders shall never end, Chair Ethics (a judge)! Tacitly threatening me, the accused on TV ahead of the “hearing.”
Jibrin had also failed to appear before the committee on Friday when it first sat on the matter.
He had accused speaker, Yakubu Dogara and three principal officers of the House of criminally padding the 2016 budget with billions of naira on fabricated projects.
While the House was yet to investigate his claims, it however accused Jibrin of misconduct behaviour against the lower chamber by making his allegation public issue instead of resorting to internal processes.

After its meeting on Friday without Jibrin, the Chairman of the committee, Nicholas Ossai, had asked Jibrin to appear on Monday at 12p.m.
Jibrin had insisted that the proceedings of the committee on the matter must be open to the public for him to be part of it. At the weekend, he accused the committee of bias and lack of independence.
