A transgender woman who was locked up in a men's prison says she was forced to flash at inmates because she was terrified of being raped. Tara Hudson was only moved from all-male HMP Bristol to a women's jail following a high-profile campaign.
The 26-year-old, who was born a man, was caged for attacking a bar manager on a Boxing Day night out.
Hudson revealed how she was labelled a "chick with a d***" and strip-searched by male guards. She was also taunted with chants that the "Ladyboys of Bangkok had come to town" during her seven days in the prison.
The make-up artist and glamour model has lived all her adult life as a woman and has breast implants. She was later segregated from the 600-plus male inmates at HMP Bristol amid concerns for her safety.
