A group of highly placed Lagosians, known as Lagos Collectives, headed by Professor Tejumade Akitoye – Rhodes, on Thursday, took a swipe at an on-line newspaper, Sahara Reporters, for linking a whopping N100 million to Chief Bode George from the embattled former National Security Adviser, Col. Sambo Dasuki.
The group condemned the news medium urging it to desist, henceforth, from spreading malicious lies against one of its own. The statement read in parts:
“Sahara Reporters has now gone beyond the pale of gutter journalism in its malicious story linking Chief Bode George to a phantom 100 million naira allegedly collected from Sambo Dasuki, the former National Security Adviser.
“The libelous publication is outrightly borne upon a twisted and depraved imagination, lacking substance, stripped of any iota of truth, prompted by a primitive malignity” the statement added.
